Then we will review the following :
Location of future or present dwelling & out buildings,
Distances from your property lines and septic tank systems.
Accessibility to proposed well site.

Q  WHY IS STEEL CASING REQUIRED ?
A The steel casing is used to stabilise the well in unconsolidated material. Example; Sand & Gravel ect.

Q WILL PVC WELL CASING BE NEEDED ?
A The use of 5” well casing is to line the well to the bottom; this eliminates anything falling in around the pump. There are different densities of 5” pipe and which one is suitable, will be determined during drilling.

Q WILL WELL SCREENS BE USED IN MY WELL ?
A Well screen may be required in wells where there is gravel or sand.
Screens are used to filter the gravel or sand and allow the water to flow to the pump without sediment. The use of well screen is dependent of the formation encountered during the drilling process and if the well pumps sand or grit.
Gravel pack may have to be used around the well screen to allow clean water to enter the screen.

Q WHO WILL SUPPLY AND INSTALL MY PUMP ?
A We will recommend a pump installer who we have worked in conjunction with for a number of years. They will advise on horse power of pump depending on the well logs and amount of water the customer requires; they also offer a wide range of water treatments if necessary.
